I spent hours observing various sections of Grand Central Station sifting through the layers of information and behaviors that occur in the space. I was most intrigued by how long groups or individuals would stand stationary in the middle of the main concourse, as hundreds of people streamed in and out of the room all around them. I took a series of photos to document positions and populations and plotted the number of individuals and how long they stood stationary. I was amazed to see a room that looks so dynamic, is actually quite still. |
