Invading/Defending A Neighborhood: A How-To

Fall 2007

As part of my study of TriBeCa, I created a tongue-in-cheek book that outlines the conflicting needs and resources of gentrifiers vs. current, usually low and middle income, residents.

The first section is a 'how-to' on invading a neighborhood focusing on gentrifiers. The second section focuses on residents who hope to defend their neighborhood from gentrification.

The reader only reads the upright page on the right-hand side. On the final page, they flip the book upside down to read the 'defense' section, which leads them back to the beginning.
