MissionMy life goal is to develop a social enterprise that combines community, creativity and capital to improve our quality of life. I am a budding social entrepreneur with powerful ideas to transform how citizens communicate, collaborate and take effective action. By blending capital management models, hyper-local technology and civic engagement, meaningful change is at our finger-tips, we just need to build the system, and that's what I'm here to do. I am searching for innovative community development organizations where I can contribute and grow these concepts and skills. |
LaborThis summer, I took an opportunity to gain an a posteriori portrait of my local community. I worked for the U.S. Census Bureau as a Crew Leader, managing and supervising a team of 18 enumerators who collected information from hundreds of local residents. I am proud to have been a part of this Census because the data I helped collect will be of great value to fellow social entrepreneurs and the future of the citizen sector. Another profound work experience, the one that directed my attention to the non-profit sector, was at the Center for Employment Opportunities. CEO helps formerly incarcerated individuals find jobs and develop skills after release. I worked in the marketing department and contributed to revising their brand identity. This revision transformed CEO's image from a small, under the radar non-profit into a professional organization with a clear communications strategy. |
EducationI am a graduate of Parsons The New School for Design with an Honors BBA from the Design & Management program. I studied business, social innovation, communication design and urban studies, all of which I find fascinating and continue to explore post-graduation. This mixed academic experience taught me how to integrate business, design strategy and social studies to create beautiful, economically feasible and socially beneficial services and products. |
